Tennessee Congressman Bart Gordon's office says that he is not a co-sponsor because the Republicans wouldn't let any Democrats co-sponsor the bill. Really? Democrat Congressmen Dan Boren of Oklahoma is a co-sponsor. And we talked with Congressman Kevin McCarthy, the Sponsor of the legislation, and he says he has written Bart three times asking him to be a co-sponsor and would be happy to have him join in! Barack Obama opposes efforts to drill for American oil. Drilling is essential if we are going to address the lack of supply that is a critical component of pricing under the economic model of supply and demand. The Messiah doesn't think the rules of economics apply to oil, however. He says Americans need to inflate their tires and that will help reduce price as much as drilling for new oil.
